live from the bbc sport centre. coming up on this programme... tiger woods says his arrest for driving under the influence was due to an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. barcelona announce that ernesto valverde will take charge at camp nou next season. huddersfield are back in the top flight of the english game for the first time since 1972 after winning their play off against reading on penalties. and nine—time champion rafael nadal breezes through his first match at the french open. hello and welcome to the programme where we start with the news coming out of the united states on monday that one of the world's greatest ever golfers, tiger woods, was arrested in the south florida town ofjupiter for driving under the influence. woods who was released a few hours later is second on the all—time list with m major titles, but his last win on tour was back in 2013 at the players championship while his last major win came at the us open in 2008. the 41—year—old has struggled with back issues in recent years and returned to the sport after 15 months out injured in december, but hasn't played since a recurrence of his back problems in february

and in the past hour has a released a statement saying... "i want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. what happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications," he said. "i didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly." this is another fall from this is anotherfall from grace this is another fall from grace for tiger woods. we remember 2009 when it was careless driving on that occasion. it was thanksgiving night and he crashed into the water hydra nt. and he crashed into the water hydrant. that set off a sequence of events that showed he had been responsible for multiple ball extra marital affairs and a fall from grace. now he will be haunted by that mugshot which will be circulated everywhere as a result of this arrest. he is still a very

sought—after figure in the world of sport but this kind of situation will do nothing for his marketability in terms of sponsors. he looks a long way away from being the golfer who dominated the world of golf and an awful long way away from being a competitive golfer on the circuit. he is a very, very private figure. he cards that privacy jealously. private figure. he cards that privacyjealously. this'll be a huge to him. football news. ernesto valverde has been appointed as the new barcelona coach on a two year deal. valverde a former player at camp nou has been head coach of athletic bilbao for the past four seasons and heads to barca after they finished second to real madrid in the league. on saturday luis enrique‘s reign with barcelona finished with victory over alaves in the final of the copa del rey. he also led barcelona to the treble in his first season and the domestic double in 2016. i think every coach is different and
